Magicians
Arthur C. Clarke's third law - "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic." A magician would hide himself until he decides hes ready to reveal himself in the way he decides.

The old fogies need a target and it changes with the time.
In the 1950s it was rock and roll
In the 1960s it was rock and roll and TV
In the 1970s it was rock and roll and TV and the pill
In the 1980s it was all the above plus video games
In the 1990s, it was all the above plus mobile phones and text messages.
In the 2000s its been all the above social networks ( but rock and roll and TV are now mainstream)
